DO – Knowledge is the best defense they say, and ‘they’ aren’t wrong. A good content strategy starts with research. Learn as much as you can about your consumer; who do they talk to, where do they get their information, and how do they interact with each other and the digital world. Armed with market research, your content can be tailored to speak to the real needs of your target market.

DO – Content should be relevant, personal, and helpful. If your blog, tweet, post, caption, etc., makes a promise that it doesn’t keep, your engagement numbers – and your brand authority – will inevitably drop. When creating content, focus on the benefit to the potential customer. If you can gain their respect, be approachable, and position yourself as a trusted resource to them, the sale will happen organically.
