When you first develop your key messaging, be sure that it resonates with target audiences before you build out your online content branding strategy. Having a plan of action before you push content out through the internet will also enable you to be strategic about where and when you promote your brand.

Consistency

The consistency in your content is one of the most important aspects of online content branding. You want target audiences to recognize and resonate with your brand regardless of what campaign you may be running. Your content should be consistent across all platforms including your website, landing pages, social media pages, collateral materials, public relations initiatives, directories, and more.

Reputation

Your reputation is extraordinarily valuable and can become diminished if you are developing online content that is not in line with your brand and target audiences. One of the crucial things to keep in mind is that online content can go viral, for better or worse. Be sure that you are monitoring your online reputation by following content, interacting with users, and being aware of conversations focused on your brand and industry.

Frequency

Content on the internet is constantly turning over. To stay in front of your target audiences, you have to be pushing content on a frequent basis. This means keeping your website current, getting involved in social media and blogging, and developing additional content like news releases, articles, and advertising that will push your online content across the internet and reach target audiences.
